If you engaged with a business that uses Cue and they've sent you a text, this page explains what the messages are, how opt-in works, and your options.
What to Expect
- •The very first text you receive from Cue will identify the business and ask you to reply YES to continue by text
- •If you do not reply YES, no further messages will be sent
- •If you reply YES, the business (or their assistant) may follow up via text to help with your inquiry
- •Messages are conversational customer care related to your specific inquiry — not marketing or promotional blasts
Message Details
- •Message frequency: Typically 1–10 messages per inquiry, depending on your conversation
- •Message and data rates: Standard carrier rates may apply
- •No marketing: We do not send promotional messages or share your number with third parties for marketing
Your Choices
- •Opt out anytime: Reply STOP to any message to immediately stop receiving texts
- •Get help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance
- •Continue by phone: You can always call the business back instead of texting
Consent
Participating businesses are required to obtain your consent to receive SMS communications through their own intake processes (for example, a web form checkbox, a signed service agreement, or verbal consent) before your phone number is used with Cue.
As an additional safeguard, the first text Cue sends to any new contact is an opt-in prompt. No further messages will be sent unless you reply YES. Consent is never a condition of any purchase or service, and Cue does not send marketing or promotional messages.
Privacy
Your phone number is only used to assist with your inquiry to the specific business you called. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
